GPI BUYS INTO REAL AFRICA? - Marc Hasenfuss

Fri, 16 May 2008

The rumour mill has been doing the rounds and this time it's the news that GRAND PARADE INVESTMENTS has taken a large stake in fellow gaming investment company REAL AFRICA HOLDINGS. GPI owns a sizeable minority stake in SUNWEST, which owns the GrandWest casino, as well as holdings in the Golden Valley casino in Worcester and Thuo Gaming. Meanwhile RAH owns minority stakes in SunWest, the Boardwalk casino in PE, Carnival City in Gauteng and the Sibaya casino in Durban. It is said that GPI has secured a 23% stake in RAH, possibly via a share swap arrangement with a large minority shareholder.
