APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER                                          
In compliance with section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE         
Limited, combined unitholders are advised that Mike Rodel has been appointed    
as Chief Executive Officer ("CEO") of Hyprop, effective 1 August 2009.          
Mike holds a Bachelor of Science (Civil Engineering) degree and has been        
employed in the 
property sector for more than seventeen years.                  
He spent 8 years with Liberty Life Properties before leaving in 2000 to join    
Old Mutual Investment Group Property Investments ("OMIGPI") as General          
Manager, Gateway Theatre of Shopping, Durban. He held that position until       
January 2006 when he was appointed by OMIGPI as Regional General Manager,       
KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape.                                                 
Mike has extensive retail property management and development experience and    
Hyprop is pleased to welcome him as CEO and to the board.
