S.Africa’s Wescoal anticipates continued growth

This is after he revealed that Wescoal Trading had contributed significantly to the strategic development of Wescoal Holdings Limited.

Bojé further alluded to the fact that results in the recently announced interim figures reflected the success of the acquisition of MacPhail and its integration with Chandler Coal.

“The Wescoal group is now in the unique position of having a sophisticated trading division servicing the domestic market together with a mining division. The combined channels of expertise have contributed to growth, quality product delivery and a high level of service,” he said.

“We also have all the elements for continued growth in an organisation that has personnel with embedded knowledge of coal markets, clients with a demand for coal, a deep understanding of market influences and established relationships with mines and customers.”

According to the company, its trading division has also introduced an environmentally friendly programme to reduce its carbon footprint.

“The supply of both bulk and bagged coal and anthracite by road and rail to the point of consumption, to diverse customers and industries throughout South Africa, is made from our bulk depot operations countrywide,” Bojé said.

“Coupled to this, Wescoal Trading’s unique logistical and depot structures strategically support the distribution network locally and cross-border for example, to the neighbouring states of Swaziland and Lesotho.”

[DATA WSL:Wescoal] also has coal trading operations in the Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, North West and Western and Eastern Cape provinces in South Africa.
