Africa’s largest mobile phone network provider promoted Michael Ikpoki, currently the CEO of MTN Ghana to head MTN Nigeria. Serame Taukobong, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of MTN SA has been elevated to a CEO position at MTN Ghana.
Former Chief Customer Sales, Service and Distribution Officer at MTN SA, Brian Gouldie replaces Taukobong as MTN SA’s CMO. Farhad Khan, the Executive for the Group Enterprise Business Unit takes over from Gouldie as Chief Customer Sales, Service and Distribution Officer at MTN SA.
Also the Executive in Group Finance, Philisiwe Sibiya, was appointed as the new Chief Financial Officer of MTN SA.
Taukobong replaces Nazir Patel who resigned with immediate effect on Monday amid an investigation into certain allegations against him.
