Sasol’s André de Ruyter resigns

Sasol's André de Ruyter resigned on Monday.

The senior group executive of global chemicals and North American operations’ resignation will take effect from 30 November 2013.

“In the 20 years that I have been with Sasol I have enjoyed many great opportunities. As I embark on this next phase of my career, I would like to wish Sasol and its people, all the very best,” de Ruyter said.

He will be joining Nampak Limited as the company’s chief executive officer on 1 April 2014.

Sasol’s chief executive officer David Constable said, “On behalf of the Sasol Limited board and the group executive committee, I would like to wish André every success as he commences an exciting chapter in his career  and I am certainly looking forward to working with him in his new role.”

De Ruyter will be succeeded by Fleetwood Grobler, the current managing director of the Sasol olefins and surfactants business, with effect from 1 December 2013.
