Greyling has been with Naspers, the South African based multinational media company, for more than 18 years.
“[Greyling] has been instrumental in building the group’s successful pay-TV businesses across the continent. Under his leadership over the last five years the subscriber base and turnover of the pay-TV businesses more than doubled,” said Naspers in a statement.
The group’s pay-TV revenue for the six months to 30 September 2013 grew by 18 per cent to 17.1 billion rand while their subscriber base increased by a new 560 000 and totalled 7.3 million households in 48 African countries.

Jim Volkwyn, previous head of the group’s pay-TV segment, will take over the reins from 1 April 2014.
