Mr Page was appointed as CEO in September 2011, with a mandate to turn the company around after years of listless results.
Victor Dingle, the newly appointed chief financial officer of the company, has been appointed acting CEO with immediate effect, until the vacancy is filled by the board, the company said.
“Shareholders of the Company are hereby advised that Mr Antony Page is standing
down as Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) with immediate effect. Mr Page was
appointed as CEO of Protech on the 1 September 2011,” Protech said in a statement
The listed civil engineering company also said that Malcolm Adamson and Matsotso Vuso resigned as independent nonexecutive directors of the company with immediate effect. Mr Adamson will also step down as a member of the audit and risk committee, and Ms Vuso as acting chairman of the remuneration and nominations committee.
Adamson and Vuso initially joined the board of Protech on the 1 March 2013 and 1 September 2008 respectively.
Protech on Monday delayed the announcement of its financial results for the year ended February, saying the audit is still being finalised after years of uncertainty over its future and has not set a new date.
