Lambrechts will leave the financial services group [DATA SLM:Sanlam LTD.] to head up its short term insurance division, [DATA SNT:Santam LTD.].
She has led Sanlam’s South African retail business, Sanlam Personal Finance (SPF), for 12 years through extensive regulatory changes. It is the groups biggest division to date.

“Her appointment is a well-deserved recognition and achievement. I have no doubt that her extensive experience and proven leadership skills will stand her in good stead at Santam. It has been a great honour to work with her and we wish her well."

Lambrechts added that she was excited about the new opportunity.

Sanlam’s new personal finance chief executive is yet to be announced.
