According to a report comparing the salaries of the world’s global leaders, South Africa’s President Jacob Zuma is among the ten top earners.
The report compiled by CNN Money, examined how prime ministers and presidents of big developed and emerging economies’ salaries fare. The media group used official data converted into U.S. dollars at the current rate to draw up the list.
United States' President Barack Obama leads the pack earning $400 000 a year. He was followed by Canada’s Prime Minister Stephen Harper at $260 000; Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel at $234 400 and South Africa’s President Jacob Zuma at $223 500. He was closely followed by United Kingdom’s Prime Minister David Cameron at $214 800.
