Chris Bishop joined CNBC Africa in July 2009.

Bishop is an anchor in studio and journalist in the field with more than 20 years of television experience and more than 28 years as a journalist. He has hosted Business AM, Open Exchange, Power Lunch and Regional Round up on CNBC Africa.

Having reported from all the continents at some point in his career, Bishop has worked for business television for the BBC in London and has extensively traveled in Africa. He is proud to have won the Sir David Beattie Award for excellence in journalism in 1988 for uncovering a plot to assassinate the Queen of England during a royal tour.
