Erin Burnett Live from Lagos

Top CNBC US anchor Erin Burnett will be broadcasting her hit worldwide programmes from the West African business hub Lagos, on Thursday the 21st May 2009.

Burnett will be broadcasting to CNBC viewers worldwide from Lagos, Nigeria between 13:00 – 16:00 CAT. Burnett, anchor of "Street Signs" and co-anchor of "Squawk on the Street" on CNBC has an array of top markets thinkers and the biggest business leaders in Nigeria lined-up from the capital, including:
  • Rotimi Oyekanmi: CEO West Africa, Renaissance Group
  • William Egby: President Coca Cola South Africa
  • Lamido Sanusi: GMD First Bank
  • Wale Tinubu Group: CEO Oando

    Burnett joined CNBC from Bloomberg Television where she anchored two hours of programming daily. Prior to Bloomberg, Burnett was a Vice President at Citigroup, where she built an online financial news network targeted at institutional and retail investors.

    She began her career at Goldman, Sachs & Co. as an investment-banking analyst focused on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance.

    She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and was a member of the team awarded the 2006 Deadline Club Award for Business Reporting.

    Burnett holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy from Williams College in Williamstown, MA.
