CNBC AFRICA SETS NEW BENCHMARK IN BUDGET DAY TV COVERAGE
Wed, 13 Feb 2008
CNBC Africa COO, Gary Alfonso, says CNBC Africa will be the only business channel to broadcast live breaking developments early morning, throughout the trading day on the markets, live from parliament and an immediate post-budget interview with Trevor Manuel. “CNBC Africa will have cameras in Cape Town, on the steps of Parliament and in Trevor Manuel's office for a live post-budget interview. “In addition, as we cross live to the budget speech, our resident expert and chief editor Byron Kennedy will come out of lock-up with many of the country’s top financial commentators, ready to analyse the Minister's speech as he is making it,” says Alfonso. At the CNBC Africa Johannesburg studio a number of high powered panels will contextualise the details and ramifications of this year's budget. CNBC Africa, by virtue of its markets coverage leadership position in the market, has been able to secure all the top analysts, commentators, economists and opinion leaders for live debates throughout the day and evening. The action starts at 6am on Super Wednesday, 20 February 2008, and continues live until 10pm. Tune into channel 290 on DStv for both coverage and analysis of this important topic.LATEST PRESS RELEASES
