<p>Rwanda Development Board (RDB) today met with the Private Sector Federation to discuss various business opportunities that they will be presenting during the Commonwealth Forum that is set to take place this year in June here in Kigali. Rwanda Development Board Chief Executive, Claire Akamanzi noted that the government and private sector partners will not halt the planning and preparation process – she also added that as the plans continue, they will keep monitoring developments on the virus&#8217;s trends across the world to make further decisions. She joins CNBC Africa for more.</p>

<p>Situated in the heart of Rwanda, Kigali is buzzing with possibility and African charm. Home to countless creative startups and tech hubs and supported by a promising investment climate, the dynamic and progressive capital is the perfect setting for the key event boosting trade in Africa – the IATF 2020.</p>



<p>Innovation aside, ‘the land of a thousand hills’ also boasts picturesque views with rolling green hills and valleys. <p>Rapid development in the city has seen the creation of several new shopping malls, collaborative office buildings and entrepreneurship hubs like Norrsken Kigali – started by Sweden’s Norrsken Foundation to drive technology developments across the region. An acclaimed convention centre has also been constructed – IATF 2020 will host over 5 000 participants, 10 000 visitors and buyers, and 1 100 exhibitors at the state-of-the-art Intare Convention Arena. </p>

<p>Kigali International Airport (KGL) is in Kanombe, a few kilometres outside of the city centre. Well connected to other major airports in Africa and cities across the world, including Amsterdam, Brussels, Dubai, Istanbul, London and Tel Aviv, IATF attendees can fly into Rwanda with ease. National carrier RwandAir is recognised as one of the safest and fastest-growing airlines on the African continent.</p>



<p>Road travel into Rwanda is another viable option, especially for those wanting to take in the natural beauty of the country. Sharing land borders with Burundi, the DRC, Tanzania and Uganda, attendees can opt for independent taxis or privately-run buses spanning the entire country.</p>

In a bid to normalize ties between Rwanda and Uganda, through the fourth Quadripartite Heads of State Summit both President Paul Kagame and Yoweri Museveni met at Gatuna border. They were joined by Angolan President João Lourenço and his Congolese counterpart Félix Tshisekedi. The agenda of the meeting includes review and discussion of feedback from Uganda following a Note Verbale from Kigali dispatched on February 15. Joining CNBC Africa to speak on economic integration between countries in the region is Journalist Gonzaga Mugwana.</p>

ideal platform to address the challenges affecting intra-African trade and

<p>The
inaugural IATF2018, which took place in Cairo, Egypt, was an enormous success,
garnering US$32 billion in trade and investment deals with more than 1 000
exhibitors and 2 500 conference delegates from over 45 countries.</p>



<p>This
year, IATF2020 will surpass the success of previous years by providing a
platform for businesses to access an integrated market of over 1.2 billion
people with a GDP of over US$2.5 trillion created under the African Continental
Free Trade Area.</p>



<p>IATF2020
