Sasol to play open cards with Competition Commission - VIDEO
Mon, 19 Jan 2009 20:25South Africa's competition commission is investigating gas and petroleum companies for their possible role in market collision and price-fixing. The commission says Sasol approached the commission, seeking a settlement. Sasol says it will cooperate with the investigation.
The company says it's too soon to determine the possible consequences and financial impact of any finding of unlawful conduct. Four other companies, including current and former members of the South African Petroleum Industry Association and the Southern African Bitumen and Tar Association, are also being investigated.
