Nigeria’s Central Bank Governor's wife freed after being kidnapped

Margaret Emefiele, the wife of Godwin Emefiele, the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Governor, has been released after being kidnapped on Thursday.

SaharaReporters on Friday said Ms Emefiele was kidnapped along the Benin-Agbor Road by armed abductors, who demanded a ransom of 1.5 billion naira (USD4.8 million). It is unclear whether a ransom was paid.
