Commodity prices boosts Standard Bank H1 profits

Standard Bank reported headline earnings were up 12 per cent to R12.1 billion vs the R10.8 billion in 2016. The bank says profits were helped by a rebound in commodity prices that boosted demand for loans from clients in the oil and mining industry.
