Ghana chooses former minister to head cocoa regulator

Ghana’s government has chosen Joseph Aidoo, a former minister and cocoa expert, as chief executive of industry regulator Cocobod, government and industry sources said on Thursday.

“I will be looking for efficiency in production that will at the same time bring about environmental sustainability,” Aidoo, a former regional minister for the top cocoa growing Western region, told Reuters.
