Nigerian government gets citizens to pay tax

On this episode of Nigeria Going Beyond Oil, we x-ray the latest effort of the Nigerian government to get its citizens to pay tax – the Voluntary Assets and Income Declaration Scheme, VAIDS. The Scheme gives a 9-month opportunity for tax offenders to come clean and get penalties waved. Defaulters will be taken to court at the close of the amnesty window.
