Delayed revisions to South Africa’s Mining Charter, which sets industry targets for black ownership and participation in the sector, will face legal challenges if it is unacceptable to producers, the CEO of the Chamber of Mines said on Wednesday.

“If the outcome is an outcome which is unacceptable to the industry then clearly we will consider our legal options,” Roger Baxter told an industry conference in Johannesburg.
