The South African Communist Party (SACP) was informed of President Jacob Zuma’s plans to reshuffle cabinet, including the finance minister’s post it revealed at a press conference. It also confirmed that one of the reasons Zuma recalled Gordhan, his Deputy Mcebisi Jonas and Director-General Lungisa Fuzile from their non-deal international investor roadshow in London was due to ‘intelligence’ report alleging a plan by the three to start “Operation Check Mate”, see more in the tweet below:

In response to these issues the SACP will hold a politburo meeting tomorrow.
