Siddharth Chatterjee joined the United Nations in 1997 and has since risen through the ranks to become the UN Resident Coordinator and the UNDP Resident Representative in Kenya. He served in the Indian Army Special Forces for 12 years, an experience he says shaped his approach and attitude in the various roles at the UN where he’s lived and worked Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iraq, South Sudan and Somalia among other countries. He spoke to CNBC Africa’s Charles Gitonga.
