According to research done by the World Bank in 2014 an estimated 2 billion working-age adults globally have no access to the types of formal financial services delivered by regulated financial institutions that wealthier people rely on. Senior Financial Analyst for CGAP, Gerhard Coetzee, says customer-centricity is key to banking the unbanked.
