Thousands descended in Durban High Court for the opening of the trial of former South African president Jacob Zuma – a rare sight of an African leader facing the court in his own country. Zuma faces 16 charges of fraud, corruption, money laundering and racketeering in what has been dubbed Africa’s trial of the century.
