IBM research unveil platform to improve access to safe water in Kenya

With arid and Semi-Arid lands covering 84 per cent of Kenya’s land area, over 40 per cent of the country’s population rely on unimproved water sources resulting into chronic food insecurity and high malnutrition rates. IBM research unveiled a water management service platform to improve access to safe water in the remote northern regions of the country and promote resilient livelihoods. Dr. Solomon Assefa, Vice President, IBM Research joins CNBC Africa for more.
