Kigali hosts inaugural Coffee Festival

Rwanda fetched $58.5 million from coffee exports during the 2016/2017 financial year. Under NAEB’s five-year strategic plan, the country hopes to achieve an annual average export growth rate of 29 per cent, translating to $104.3 million by 2018, from $60.9 million in 2013. On the side-lines of the inaugural Kigali coffee festival CNBC Africa spoke to Oscar Karekezi, Founder Kigali coffee festival for more on local coffee consumption.
