Two thirds of African cities at extreme risk of climate change – Report

According to the recently released climate change vulnerability index 2018, eighty six of the world’s 100 fastest-growing cities are at “extreme risk” from the impacts of a warming planet. Interestingly enough seventy nine of them are in Africa. Dr Richard Hewston, Principal Environmental and Climate Change Analyst at Verisk Maplecroft, a risk consultancy firm that compiled the report joins CNBC Africa for a deeper understanding of the findings.
