Understanding Rwanda’s new minimum wage

In July this year, Rwandan Members of the Lower Chamber of Parliament enacted a new labour law that was left to the Ministry of Labour to set up a minimum wage through a ministerial order. Across the country, workers and potential employees feel that it is time for the labour law to be clear on what should be the minimum wage. To help us dissect this issue CNBC Africa is joined by Gaspard Musonera, Permanent Secretary of Rwanda’s Ministry of public service and labour.
