Weak consumer spending hurt Massmart’s earnings

Massmart reports decreased profit margins for their interim results end-July. This was due to unrecovered restructuring costs and weak consumer spending. Headline earnings decreased by 42.2 per cent to R210 million. Joining CNBC Africa for more is Masmmart CEO, Guy Hayward.
