The US Trade and Development Agency leads the entrance of American companies into very different international markets, of which Africa is one. Acting Director of the TDA, Tom Hardy spoke to CNBC Africa’s Karabo Letlhatlha about the reasons why Africa is an important investment destination for American companies, in industries as diverse as the power sector, cloud computing and pharmaceuticals. They also spoke about the Africa Investment Forum as a marketplace for deals, and tools to support American investment into Africa.
