Africa urged to broaden tax base as to improve revenue collection

The UNECA reported its urgency for African countries to broaden and deepen their tax and revenue collection bases while leveraging digital technologies to boost collection and compliance. At the Conference of African Ministers in Marrakesh, Morocco CNBC Africa’s Fifi Peters caught up with Ahmed Kamaly, Deputy Minister of Planning for Planning Affairs for Egypt, about how reducing corporate taxes will not increase investment.
