Ethiopian Airlines flight crashes in Addis Ababa en route to Nairobi

An Ethiopian Airlines passenger jet has crashed as it was making its way to Nairobi, Kenya. The jet is believed to have crashed 6 minutes after take-off from Addis Ababa Bole International Airport in Ethiopia.

Ethiopian Airlines believes that the jet was carrying 149 passengers and 8 crew members on board.

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed took to twitter to express his condolences to those who have lost loved ones in the crash.

Ethiopian Airlines released a number of helplines on their twitter account that family or friends of those who may have been on flight to get more information.
