Sub-Saharan Africa spent nearly $60 billion in 2012 from its national budget, although this falls short of the estimated $93 billion needed to close the region’s infrastructure gap, a lot needs to be done to accelerate development. CNBC Africa’s Fiona Muthoni spoke to Corneille Karekezi, Group Managing Director and CEO of African Reinsurance Corporation on this.
