International Women’s Day 2019: How can we empower women to end poverty in Africa?

March 8 marks International Women’s Day and the ONE campaign is celebrating the day by putting the activists who are at the front-lines in the fight against poverty in the fore-front. Over 40 activists from 11 African countries have written an open letter to world leaders which notes that despite what they have achieved in their own work, those in the positions of power are not delivering for millions of women in poverty. CNBC Africa joined by Rudo Kwaramba-Kayombo, ONE Africa Executive Director; Melene Rossouw, South African Attorney and via Skype is Dr Joannie Marlene Bewa.
