Debt-laden franchisor, Taste’s Tyrone Moodley has stepped down as acting chief executive officer of the company, which owns the South African licence for Starbucks and Domino’s Pizza.

He has been re-appointed as a non-executive member with effect from the 25 March 2019.

The company claims this is consistent with its transition plans and comes after Moodley fulfilled his duties to restructure the business and support the new management team on its strategic alignment.

Moodley will be replaced by Dylan Pienaar, Taste’s chief operating officer, who’ll be supported by Hannes Van Eeden, the newly appointed CFO

Pienaar has experience in dealing with global QSR brands in South Africa.
