According to data released by Statistics South Africa, the country’s total employment increased by 87 000 in the quarter ending December 2018. The drivers of these increase was sectors such as business services, trade, community services and transport industry. However there was job shedding in the construction, mining and quarrying, manufacturing and electricity industry.
