Uganda encourages local ownership, orders telcom operators to list on local bourse

As part of a move to encourage local ownership in the Capital Market, Uganda has ordered telecoms operators, of which most of them are foreign-owned to list on the local bourse, giving them two years to list at least 20 per cent of their shares.
