Words flew when the chairman of South Africa’s ruling African National Congress hit the campaign trail last night in Evaton in the Vaal east of Johannesburg. The Vaal was hit by violent protests and a taxi strike a week ago today. Gwede Mantashe was there to talk to the people on the ground about one of the bones of contention – service delivery.
