South Africa’s Dec credit growth quickens to 3.55% y/y

JOHANNESBURG, Jan 29 (Reuters) – Growth in private sector credit in South Africa in December quickened to 3.55% year on year from 3.38% in November, central bank data showed on Friday.

Expansion in the broadly defined M3 measure of money supply also rose, to 9.48% in December from a revised 8.15% the previous month. (Reporting by Olivia Kumwenda-Mtambo; Editing by Jacqueline Wong)
