Navigating tax amnesty on income earned outside Kenya
Uptake of tax amnesties in Kenya has been marginal with the latest amnesty on rental income registering a 4 per cent success. As over 95 per cent of targeted landlords opted to pass on uptake. The government has now offered amnesty on income earned and assets owned outside Kenya before 31st December 2016, but the Kenya Revenue Authority is yet to provide guidelines.
