World Bank Group announces $57bn in financing for Africa
The World Bank Group has announced the approval of $57 billion for sub-Saharan African countries for the next three years. While much of the estimated $45 billion in International Development Association (IDA) financing will be dedicated to country-specific programs, significant amounts will be available through special "windows" to finance regional initiatives. Mamta Murthi, Director of Strategy and Operations at the World Bank Africa Region joins CNBC Africa for more.
