World Bank Group announces $57bn in financing for Africa

The World Bank Group has announced the approval of $57 billion for sub-Saharan African countries for the next three years. While much of the estimated $45 billion in International Development Association (IDA) financing will be dedicated to country-specific programs, significant amounts will be available through special "windows" to finance regional initiatives.
