Uganda govt directs Electoral Commission to lower budget over revenue shortfall
The Government of Uganda has requested that the Electoral Commission reduce its over 700 billion shilling budget, the equivalent of about $190 million, ahead of the 2021 general elections, citing that the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development will not be able to finance it due to revenue shortfall.
