What’s in Nigeria’s 2021 spending plan?
Nigeria’s 2021 spending plan published by the budget office suggests a higher deficit as its expected government revenue is pegged at 7.49 trillion naira as against an estimated 12.65 trillion naira expenses. In 2019, Nigeria’s optimistic budget targets led to a large revenue shortfalls, about 58 per cent of the budget target according to the International Monetary Fund.
