How this initiative is empowering women in rural areas with hair products

With Covid-19 leaving a trail of destruction in its path, it is said that South African women will be hit the hardest. Mothers are two times more likely than fathers to have lost or been forced to leave their jobs during lockdown. Wukina - a South African network marketing company for hair – aims to empower females to become entrepreneurs, by helping them sell hair to people in their communities. The company targets women who live in remote areas, who often have limited access to big shopping centres. Maureen Sibanda, Community Manager at Wukina joins CNBC Africa for more.
