RSOG’s Eugene Ngoga on investing in health as an economic engine
According to the World Health Organization, pregnancy-related deaths and diseases remain unacceptably high, for example in 2015, an estimated 303,000 women died from pregnancy-related causes globally. Over the past decade, the number of women giving birth in Rwanda’s professional healthy facilities increased from 69 per cent to 91 per cent. Dr. Eugene Ngoga, President of the Rwanda Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecology joins CNBC Africa for more.
