Sovereign Ratings: Is Africa pulling the shortest straw?

A recent study from CountryRisk showed that although, the economic fallout from the coronavirus pandemic was more severe in Advanced Economies they experienced only six notches of cumulative downgrades from rating agencies, whereas poorer countries are more exposed to rating downgrades.
