The current unemployment rate in South Africa is currently at 32.5 per cent, with the country hitting this record high due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Of the 7.2 million job seeking South Africans, many are part of the Temporary Employment Services sector which tends to lay off workers first when the economy is at a downturn.
