Labour broking in SA: Should govt offer more protection to temporary service employees?
The current unemployment rate in South Africa is currently at 32.5 per cent, with the country hitting this record high due to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Of the 7.2 million job seeking South Africans, many are part of the Temporary Employment Services sector which tends to lay off workers first when the economy is at a downturn. A leader in this labour broker space is the Confederation of Associations in the Private Employment Services, and the Spokesperson Natalie Singer joins CNBC Africa for more.
