Uganda: CMA wants 5 companies to list on the USE

In Uganda, Capital Markets Authority asked the Ministry of Finance to have five Ugandan companies list shares on the local stock exchange. According to CMA, the companies, during the privatization process in 2000 and 2001, had undertaken to list shares but today, none has complied. Moreover, Bank of Uganda maintained the repo rate at 7 per cent. Oscar Emasu, Research Analyst at Crested Capital joins CNBC Africa for more.
