Rwanda’s Central Bank scraps ‘pull and push’ charges
The National Bank of Rwanda has issued a directive asking banks and telecommunications companies to scrap charges and fees on transfers between mobile money wallets and bank accounts, commonly known as pull and push. This development follows a public outcry from consumers who have been lamenting over hefty fees charged by banks and telcos. Economic Analyst Teddy Kaberuka spoke to CNBC Africa for more.
