South Sudan dismisses UN report on corruption
The UN’s Commission on Human Rights in South Sudan said a staggering amount of money and other wealth had been diverted from public coffers and resources – more than $73million since 2018, with almost $39million stolen across a period of less than two months. However, the South Sudan’s government has dismissed the report, saying it is the victim of an “international campaign”. Parek Maduot, Assistant Professor at the University of Juba joins CNBC Africa for more.
