Tanzania sets aside $157mn for climate change mitigation
In Tanzania, extreme climate events frequently result in economic losses that exceed 1 per cent of GDP and threaten the majority of livelihoods because of their high dependence on natural resources. The government of Tanzania has set aside about $157 million in the 2021/2022 financial year for reducing effects of climate change, including mitigation and adaptation.
